Am I crazy?
Am I crazy?
I keep thinking my husband and I can go out and do things with our girls, but it always seems to end with exhaustion and fruastration.
Today was the Wolleybear festival...the largest one-day festival in the state of Ohio. I always loved going to the Wolleybear festival. Soooo we packed up all the girls, the diaper bag, and the strollers, and we went.
We parked about a mile away because we were afraid of getting trapped if we didn't leave before the three-hour parade started, which was fine. When we got there we were already thirsty and hungry, but we were each pushing a stroller and couldn't hold anything. To solve that problem, we found a shaded area in the grass to sit, and I made four trips back and forth to the food stands to get drinks and snacks for myself, my husband and Natalie.
Then we tried to walk around the fesitval area, but with two strollers, one of them a double stroller, we needed a little space, and just couldn't get through the crowd. People kept stopping in front of me with no warning, and then gave me a dirty look when I hit them with the stroller.
We finally bailed. I couldn't breathe, and husband was ready to strangle the next person we ran into one of the stollers. We didn't really get to see anything, and the only activity we participated in was eating the insanely unhealthy festival food.
I have seen other people out in public with twins. How do they do it? I don't want to leave Allison and Katelyn at home until they're ten, but I also don't want Natalie to miss out on something really fun because I can handle it.
This would be a great time for another mom with twins to read this and chime in.
